Can you weld my boat while it's in the water?
Some above-waterline jobs can be done in the water. Most hull repairs need the boat on a trailer or the hardstand, and we'll tell you when we look at the photos.
Are you qualified?
Yes. We have more than 20 years of industry experience and hold Certificate III and Certificate IV qualifications in engineering and fabrication, plus a Certificate 7 high-pressure TIG welding qualification, the standard used for pressure piping and critical welds. Your boat gets the same quality of weld.
Do you only do aluminium?
Aluminium is our speciality, but we also weld stainless and mild steel for fittings, trailers and general fabrication.
Can you fix cracks that keep coming back?
Usually, yes. Recurring cracks often need the cause fixed, such as extra bracing or a reinforcing plate, not just a weld over the top. We'll explain the options.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is quoted based on the job location, so you only pay for what's fair for your area. We'll always tell you the full price, including travel, before we start.
Do you do civil and non-marine work?
Yes. We do handrails, gates, brackets, site and machinery repairs, and farm fabrication across South East Queensland.
